Volunteer With Us

The success of RDA depends on our team of enthusiastic volunteers, who range from 12 to 75 years old and devote their time to creating a meaningful and happy community.

There are various ways to get involved.  If you already have experience with ponies, then great, but if not, don’t worry as training will be given and there are lots of other things to do which don’t involve our four legged friends!

  • Yard Helpers – Taking care of our ponies by way of grooming, tack cleaning, keeping the yard tidy, taking the ponies to and from the field and any other chores which are required.

  • Session Helpers – Assisting in our sessions by leading or side walking, or being trained to coach.

  • Centre Maintenance – DIY, cleaning and variety of other chores helping to keep the centre spick and span.

  • Fundraising/Events – taking part in helping us organise fund raising events at the centre and in the community. Or organising your own! [Go to our Support Us page]

What’s in it for you?   We offer a worthwhile and rewarding opportunity to work in a safe, fun environment.   As one of our Duke of Edinburgh volunteers said  “Volunteering at Bank Farm RDA has been a great experience, not only have I made new friends, I've learned to appreciate how brave some of the riders are and the smiles on their faces are priceless."

If you are interested, please complete the application form and send by email or post.
